전승공예 디자인 협업 지원 사업 10주년을 기념해 열린 《더 공예, 더 현대》는 전통 공예와 현대 디자인의 만남을 돌아보는 자리였습니다.

그동안 다양한 디자이너와 전승자가 함께 만들어온 협업 작업들이 소개되었으며, 공예가 오늘의 생활 안에서 어떻게 새로운 형태와 쓰임으로 이어질 수 있는지를 보여주었습니다.

납청유기는 디자이너 김주일과 협업하여 소주잔과 막걸리잔을 선보였습니다. 이봉주, 이형근, 이지호로 이어지는 3대의 기술과 경험을 바탕으로, 전통 방짜유기가 현대의 식문화 안에서 자연스럽게 사용될 수 있는 가능성을 제안했습니다.

Celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Traditional Craft Design Collaboration Program, Craft Meets Contemporaryreflected on the dialogue between traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design.

The exhibition brought together collaborative works created by artisans and designers over the years, highlighting how traditional crafts can find new forms and relevance in everyday life.

Napcheong collaborated with designer Kim Juil to present a collection of soju and makgeolli cups. Rooted in three generations of Bangjja Yugi craftsmanship, the works explored how traditional metalware can continue to evolve within contemporary dining culture.
