기능과 아름다움을 동시에 품어온 금속은
오랜 세월 일상 속에서 늘 우리 곁에 함께해왔습니다.

매끈한 표면을 따라 찬란히 반짝이는 빛,
잔잔한 물결처럼 은은히 스며드는 빛,
은빛에서 금빛을 거쳐 붉은빛과 검은빛으로 이어지는 시간의 빛까지.

금속의 매력은 빛과 만날 때 비로소 완성됩니다.

이번 전시 〈Texture of Lights〉는
이렇듯 다채로운 금속의 빛을 탐구하는 네 명의 한국 금속 작가가 모여,
빛과 금속이 교차하며 빚어내는 무한한 가능성을 제시합니다.

망치질과 연마, 옻칠과 상회 등
시간과 인내를 쌓아 태어난 금속 위의 빛들.

한국 공예 속 금속이 지닌 깊이와 확장성,
그리고 그 표면에 스며든 다양한 빛의 텍스처를 경험하시길 바랍니다.

Metal has long been a part of everyday life, valued for both its functionality and beauty.

Brilliant reflections across polished surfaces, soft glimmers that ripple like water, and the traces of time that transform silver into gold, red, and black—metal reveals its fullest character through light.

Texture of Lights brings together four Korean metal artists whose works explore the relationship between metal and light. Through hammering, polishing, lacquering, and inlay techniques, each artist reveals a distinct surface shaped by time, patience, and craftsmanship.

The exhibition invites visitors to experience the depth of Korean metal craft and the 

diverse textures of light embedded within its surfaces.
