전시그룹 TOOL은 1990년 첫 전시 이후 서울대학교 금속공예 동문 작가를 중심으로 꾸준히 활동하고 있습니다. 2023년 제15회 TOOL정기전 <썰매 타는 까마귀>에서 동시대에 활동하는 다양한 세대의 작품을 통해 현 시점의 사회 안에서 존재하는 작가들의 시각을 한 공간에 펼치고자 합니다. 까마귀가 쓰레기를 뒤져내어 자신의 보물을 찾는 것처럼, 플라스틱 뚜껑으로 썰매를 만들어 즐기는 것처럼 공예가는 단조로운 일상 속에 공예사물을 더하여 삶을 풍요롭게 하고, 편평한 일상을 입체화하는 사람들이 아닐까 생각합니다. 일상의 질적 확장을 꾀하는 공예가 34인의 시선을 모아보았습니다.

납청유기 국가무형유산 이수자 이지호 작가는 IN VINO VERITAS 와인칠러로 전시에 참여하였습니다. 술과 함께하는 자리에선 낯선 진실도 뱉어지기 마련이다. 유기로 만든 와인칠러는 그 진실의 순간을 더 밝게 빛낸다.

Organized by TOOL, a group of metal artists centered around alumni of Seoul National University, The Crow on a Sledbrought together works by artists from different generations, presenting diverse perspectives on contemporary life through craft.

Lee Jiho participated in the exhibition with IN VINO VERITAS, a Bangjja Yugi wine cooler inspired by the idea that truth often emerges in moments shared over wine. Crafted from Bangjja Yugi, the piece reflects and elevates these moments of connection and conversation.
