이봉주  LEE BONG-JU

이봉주 유기장은 국가무형유산 유기장(방짜기법) 명예보유자로, 

방짜유기 제작기술을 평생에 걸쳐 이어온 장인입니다.

1926년 납청 인근에서 태어나 1948년 월남 이후 

서울 양대공장에서 기술을 익히며 방짜유기의 길을 이어갔습니다.
1983년 유기가 중요무형문화재 제77호로 지정되며 같은 해 유기장 보유자로 인정되었고, 

다양한 시대 변화와 작업 환경 속에서도 제작을 지속하며 기술을 지켜왔습니다.

이후 문경으로 공방을 옮겨 제작기술을 전승하고, 

대구방짜유기박물관에 작품과 도구를 기증하며 유기 문화를 알리는 데 기여했습니다.

Lee Bong-ju is the Honorary Holder of Korea's National Intangible Cultural Heritage, 

Bangjja Yugi Craftsmanship.

Throughout his life, he dedicated himself to the making of Bangjja Yugi, 

preserving and passing on this traditional craft through changing times and working environments.

His commitment to the craft laid the foundation for the generations 

that continue the legacy of Napcheong today.

이형근  LEE HYUNG-GEUN

이형근 유기장은 국가무형유산 유기장(방짜기법) 보유자로,
40여 년간 방짜유기 제작기술을 이어오고 있습니다.


 아버지인 이봉주 명예보유자로부터 방짜유기 제작기술을 전수받아,

오랜 시간 공방의 제작을 이끌며 방짜유기 제작기술의 전승을 이어왔습니다.

현재에도 전통적인 제작 방식을 바탕으로,

방짜유기의 다양한 형태와 쓰임을 고민하며 작업을 이어가고 있습니다.

Lee Hyung-geun is the Holder of Korea's National Intangible Cultural Heritage, 

Bangjja Yugi Craftsmanship.

Building upon the techniques passed down by his father, 

Lee Bong-ju, he has continued the tradition of Bangjja Yugi 

for more than four decades.

Today, he continues to explore diverse forms and uses of Bangjja Yugi 

while remaining rooted in its traditional methods of craftsmanship.

이지호  LEE JIHO

이지호는 국가무형문화재 유기장 이수자로,


할아버지 이봉주 명예보유자와 아버지 이형근 유기장의 계보를 이어 

방짜유기 제작기술을 전수받고 있습니다.



전통적인 제작 방식을 기반으로 작업을 이어가며,


기존의 형태와 쓰임을 바탕으로 동시대의 감각을 더한 작업을 시도하고 있습니다.



방짜유기가 지닌 기능과 미감을 유지하면서도


오늘의 생활 방식에 맞는 형태와 방향을 지속적으로 모색하고 있습니다.

Lee Jiho is an Apprentice of  Korea's National Intangible Cultural Heritage, 

Bangjja Yugi Craftsmanship, and represents the third generation of 

his family's craft tradition.

While grounded in traditional techniques passed down through generations, 

he explores contemporary interpretations of form and function, 

seeking new possibilities for Bangjja Yugi in everyday life.

Through his work, he continues the craft while connecting it to the present.
